/*01 _about
Architecting Content Systems at Weather.com
I architect the content and configuration systems behind Weather.com — a top-50 US website serving 211 locales worldwide. Right now I'm leading the digital transformation: migrating from a decade-old monolithic framework to Next.js, Vercel, and a modern CMS.
My path here wasn't conventional. I started by repairing gaming consoles, moved into a 24/7 operations center, taught myself to code, built physical broadcast studios, and progressively took ownership of larger systems — all at the same company over 11+ years.
Philosophy
The hardest architecture problems aren't technical — they're organizational. Getting alignment across privacy, marketing, advertising, editorial, and engineering is where most modernization efforts actually fail.
Understanding how users actually experience the product — something I learned in support before I ever wrote a line of code — makes every architectural decision better.
